Thousands of animals are abandoned daily in many of America’s largest cities. It is really heartbreaking and I’m certain that every animal lover feels the same way.
We really should be entirely grateful that there are people who have created rescue groups to assist these stray animals in finding a safe, permanent home away from the streets. These organizations are made possible by individuals who are committed to locating and rescuing frightened, stray puppies and placing them in loving foster homes so they can be adopted.
Hope for Paws is one of these non-profit organizations dedicated to rescuing animals from unfortunate circumstances. They assist animals with medical issues and ensure that they are placed in loving homes.
A small dog abandoned in West Hollywood, California, was the subject of one of their rescue efforts. The rescue squad discovered Lulu, a fearful puppy, hidden in the bushes.
The team was unaware that Lulu was suffering from multiple fractures in her tail, pelvis, and leg. They discovered that after bringing her to a veterinarian.
The tiny rescue dog immediately underwent corrective surgery for the bone fractures. A 10-day-old injury revealed that the bones were mending and developing in the wrong direction. Three metal pins were required to correct Lulu’s bone development.
Because of how long ago the video of Lulu was taken, it is difficult to determine what really happened to Lulu after getting all the medical help that she needed. I would like to believe that she ended up with a loving family who cherishes her for the rest of her days.

Seeing Lulu evolve from a fearful, aggressive puppy to a cuddly ball of fur is touching. It just really shows that even the most terrified and traumatized dogs still are capable of providing unconditional affection to those who take good care of them.
