When one has lived for so long on their own, having a companion could be scary. This homeless dog has been alone all her life. She has lived in the streets for years, and it was terrifying for her to be with people.
This beautiful dog was a stray. She would roam around near an elementary school until someone asked to help her out. The concerned citizen wanted a better life for her. So he asked a rescue organization to save the dog.
When the rescuers got to the area, they slowly tried to lure him in using treats. They successfully caught her, but she struggled. The dog freaked out. She only calmed down when they placed her in a kennel.
The dog that they named Lilac was given a much-needed bath. Lilac was very distant and cold. She did not trust humans. She was confused about why the people around her wanted to interact with her.
After a couple of months, someone was looking for a dog to adopt. The rescuer handling Lilac thought of the shy canine. The potential adopter meets the dogs in the rescue. When Lilac saw her, she touched her with her paws.
That’s when they knew that Lilac chose the woman to be her mom. Lilac became a part of that woman’s family. It took a while for Lilac to open up, but she eventually did.
Lilac is now happily living with her new family. She is enjoying her life with her new mom and her siblings. Lilac’s life has completely transformed. She has left the life that she has always known.
Lilac is in a better place now. She has a family, and she is loved every day of her life. Lilac has opened herself, and she is now in a better place because of it.
