We all heard about dogs saving the lives of their human owners. Because of their loyalty to their owners and how they saved lives in the past, dogs have earned to be called man’s best friend. As humans, we’re so lucky to have such amazing creatures as pets and companions.
In Germantown, Wisconsin, a police officer named Jeff Gonzales was out on patrol. Everything seemed to be quiet since it was snowing and the outside temperature was freezing. Nobody was outdoors due to the freezing temperatures and everything seemed peaceful. However, while Officer Gonzales was driving around a neighborhood, the sea of white snow was interrupted by a black figure running towards Officer Gonzales’s patrol car.
When the black creature got closer to the patrol car, Officer Gonzales soon realized that it was a Labrador. The dog stopped in front of Officer Gonzales’s patrol car and refused to move. Even when Officer Gonzales pressed the horn on his patrol car, the dog still didn’t budge. Officer Gonzales’s instinct told him that the dog may be trying to tell him something.
Officer Gonzales decided to follow his instinct and got out of his patrol car. As soon as Officer Gonzales got out of his car, the dog ran a little bit and then stopped. It seemed that the dog wanted Officer Gonzales to follow him. So, Officer Gonzales obliged and followed the dog.
Eventually, the dog led Officer Gonzales to a house. When Officer Gonzels got near the house, that’s when he discovered a woman slumped over in the chair outside, which was odd since it was freezing. The woman’s name was Krystal and she owned the dog that led Officer Gonzales to her house. Krystal was unresponsive and Officer Gonzales thought that she was already dead.
Krystal was cold to the touch and her lips already had a bluish tint. Thankfully, Officer Gonzales investigated further and saw that Krystal was breathing and she had a pulse. Officer Gonzales immediately called for his partner who was nearby and asked his partner to call for an ambulance.
Krystal was taken to the hospital and got the treatment she needed. Thanks to her dog who’s name is John Boy, Krystal survived. John Boy turned out to be a rescue dog who was adopted and returned to the shelter multiple times. Here’s a video of the amazing story of how John Boy saved the life of the woman who took him in and refused to give up on him.
