One day, while a lovely couple named Juliette and Reece were outside the house, they spotted a little magpie that was in need of help. The poor bird looked weak, tired, and was covered in grass. So they decided to just bring it home and give it some medical treatment. Eventually, after its recovery, they decided to have her as a pet and named her Molly.
Juliette and Reece owned a sweet pit bull named Peggy and was the only pet they shared a home with. So imagine what Peggy’s reaction was when they brought the bird home. The pooch was surprised and a little cautious of the new creature in her home.
But it didn’t take long before she warmed up to Molly and started sniffing the bird’s beak. Molly, in return, was very interested in knowing more about Peggy.
Each day, they spent more time hanging around each other. Then eventually, they started to snuggle, play around and even sleep together too.
Up until this day, they are inseparable. When Molly wants to sleep, she would sit on Peggy’s back and doze off. Wherever Peggy goes, Molly always follows behind.
Molly copies everything Peggy does and since then, the pit bull has then taken the role of Molly’s mother. Peggy has even started producing milk like a real dog mom, something that is quite surprising since the pooch was not expecting to give birth to a litter of pups. According to their vet, it is actually common when a canine is nurturing another animal.
Juliette and Reece are really convinced that little Molly believes that Peggy is her mom and that she is a dog too. They also know that Peggy enjoys every moment of being a mother to the bird.
This story is truly heartwarming and is proof that friendship and love can really exist between two animals who are completely different from each other.
