In Ukraine, an animal rescuer drove along a highway one afternoon. Suddenly she noticed an animal moving in a set of tires placed in the middle of the road in the opposite lane. The poor animal might not know the location was dangerous. Vehicles drove by the tires very fast.
The rescuer could not drive by and leave without making sure the little dog was safe. The rescuer made her way safely to the opposite lane. She parked at some distance from the tires hoping not to scare away the puppy.
Getting the attention of the puppy
She took some food with her and walked slowly towards the tires. The dog watched her come closer and snuggled into the tire. When the rescuer was just a few feet away, she offered the food in her hand.
The dog saw the food and stood steadily on the tire. The puppy ate the food on the hand of the rescuer without hesitation. The poor creature showed how hungry it was as it gobbled up more food from the rescuer’s hand.
Looking around the roadside, the rescuer saw a pack of dogs roaming around. The place doesn’t have sources of food. The rescuer decided to take this puppy with her to give it a fighting chance at survival.
The rescuer carried the little puppy without any resistance from it. She placed the dog on her lap as she drove away to a nearby veterinary clinic. At the clinic, a veterinary doctor checked the little dog and found it in good health.
Making the little dog look good
Next stop, the rescuer brought the dog to a groomer. At the groomers’, the dog received a warm bath, blow-dried, and a cute ribbon. Lastly, the rescuer took some photographs of the dog and posted them on social media.
That same day, a girl contacted the rescuer and gave her intention to adopt the puppy. The rescuer set an appointment when and where they could meet. Later that night, the girl excitedly showed up and took the dog in her arms. The rescuer happily gave the dog under her care.
