Some people believe that they met their pets because of fate. While such a statement is hard to prove, there are complicated situations that would compel people to think that way. For example, a woman named Christina did not expect to adopt a dog while volunteering.
When Christina was a volunteer at a women’s shelter, she met someone who needed her help. The person in need had two puppies that were a gift from an abusive partner. However, that same partner threatened to harm the puppies, so they needed a new home where they could be safe. Christina agreed to take one of the puppies and named it Luna.
Luna became an essential part of Christina’s life. The dog provided emotional support during an uncertain time in her life. Furthermore, Luna was always by the woman’s side whenever she was going through a tough time.
Christina went on to create her own animal sanctuary. She adopted horses, sheep, and other farm animals. Luna played an important role in that sanctuary, which was a role model and friend that kept them calm when needed.
Luna met several of her best friends at Christina’s sanctuary. For example, she bonded with goats who needed help managing their anxiety. Luna also connected with a 20-year-old horse that had worked tirelessly at a rodeo.
Christina and Luna spent more time together while they were working at the sanctuary. Every day they were busy making sure the animals were cared for. After finishing their duties at the animal sanctuary, they would rest and meditate. That process would repeat the next day.
Christina never imagined that she would adopt a dog like Luna. However, when someone needed dire help, she couldn’t turn them down. That kind act led her to meet a great companion that brought so much value to her life.
