Spending her childhood abused in a puppy mill, Alice, a white-coated Pitbull, never got to live a happy life. Thankfully, a kind couple saw the dog’s potential and lovingly welcomed her into their home.
Forever home
Tery and her husband, a dog-loving couple, were huge fans of rescue dogs because they knew each of them had a story to tell. When they visited the shelter and saw Alice, they saw the sparkle in her eyes and knew that she was the perfect pet.
The couple adopted the dog and brought her home the same day. Alice felt a bit anxious in her new surroundings, so Tery made sure to be gentle and patient.
Tery spent most of her free time trying to win Alice’s trust. She bought new toys and yummy treats to get the dog’s attention and slowly train her to become an obedient pet.
After a few weeks, the couple saw a massive difference in their dog’s confidence. Tery was relieved that Alice was finally acting like an average dog, but they still felt like something was missing.
One big happy family
Tery and her husband scrolled through social media when they came across Owen; a kitten put up for adoption. Tery was aware that a dog and cat usually didn’t get along, but they took the risk and adopted Owen anyway.
When Owen first arrived, Alice wasn’t too fond of him. The canine often played by herself, so the new roommate unfazed her.
Alice got used to having Owen around, eventually letting her guard down. As they grew up, the pair became great friends and often spent their days in the yard, playing until they were tired.
When Owen reached adolescence, Alice became the needy puppy who craved her brother’s attention. Alice created tactics that were always successful in luring Owen to play with her.
