When we think of unexpected friendships, the pairing of cats and dogs is frequently at the top of our list. In some cases, it did not matter to the Pitbull named Hades and the stray cat he saved, befriended, and adopted.
This touching story began when Hades’ owner, Juan José P. Flores, noticed a regular visit of a stray cat to his home.
Despite the cat’s mysterious manner, Flores is concerned about not getting enough food since she is a stray cat. Then, he began putting food outside his home to ensure the cat never went hungry.
Then, one day, Flores heard loud noises from his back door. Flores mistook it for a person, but it was his dog. It turns out that Hades had an important message to deliver.
When Flores went outside to find out what was causing his dog’s excitement, he found Hades sitting at the entrance of his doghouse with a furry visitor nestled safely inside.
It was a stray cat, and she was pregnant with little time before giving birth. Hades stood guard from afar, sensing the cat’s weakness and immediate need for safety. Hades did not leave the spot as the cat gave birth to two lovely kittens.
Soon after, Flores brought the mom cat and her kittens inside his house so he and Hades could ultimately pay closer attention to them.
It was also when Hades and the cat, now named Nicol, began forming a beautiful friendship. Flores said they have been spending much time together when the cat’s mom is not busy caring for her babies.
When the time is right, and the kittens are old enough, Flores will find new families for both of them. On the other hand, Flores welcomed the mother cat to stay with him and Hades as a forever family member.
Hades and Nicol are now inseparable BFFs!
