Arong was a dog whose life was close to being cut short. She was sold to a dog dealer who supplies a Korean eatery serving dog delicacies. It was a good thing that Arong was able to escape.
Someone witnessed all that occurred on that day. The dog dealer parked her vehicle near her residence. When she opened one of the large cages to place another dog inside, Arong jumped and ran away. Despite having a broken leg, she was able to outrun and hide from the trader.
That evening, as the elderly lady prepared for bed, she heard a whining sound outside her home. She could tell it was a dog, but as far as she really knew, there were no dogs in the vicinity of her residence. This piqued her interest, so she left the house. And she observed the same dog that had escaped earlier that day.
The lovely woman felt compassion for the dog and brought her food. Although she attempted to entice her inside, the dog refused. She did not depart, but she maintained a safe distance. The following day, the dog remained outside her home.
The dog thereafter followed the senior citizen everywhere she went. When she walked to complete her chores, the injured dog would accompany her. And daily, the woman would deliver meals to her.
This was insufficient for her. She desired to pet the dog because she had already fallen in love with her. She wanted to invite her inside and cuddle, but she was rebuffed. So she was devastated.
She then decided to seek assistance.
An expert visited her residence, and she gave him the entire story. He surmised from this that the dog was seriously traumatized. They constructed a trap that would gradually bring the grandmother closer to the dog. They didn’t want to move too quickly for fear of inciting greater panic.
Eventually, they came close enough for the old woman to pet the dog’s fur.
The dog soon realized that her grandmother would not harm her. Although Arong initially shook with terror, she ultimately became at ease.
Their next objective was to fix her foot.
After observing that her damaged leg bone was not healing properly, they performed surgery. Fortunately, the procedure was a total success, and the leg entirely recovered within six weeks.
The elderly lady is now looking forward to more walks with her puppy and much more hugs. It took a long time to arrive.
