While driving along a mountaintop, Corey Holt and Kat Perry from Utah stopped because they saw something unusual. They saw a dog running independently; no other dogs or humans were nearby. She was so confused and lonely.
The couple got off their snowmobile to approach the scared animal and get close, but they failed because the dog ran away. The couple didn’t have food to tempt her.
They returned to the dogie the next day because they couldn’t stop thinking of her. They devised a plan to lure her, so they returned with food and a crate. The next day, they saw something they could not prepare for.
They found a dog mommy and also three puppies. They were tucked inside a dead sheep. Three Great Pyrenees were newborns and only wanted to find a warm hiding place. They couldn’t survive that cold weather, but Corey and Kat helped them.
They didn’t want to leave poor souls on the snowy mountain to starve. The pups were so helpless, and they were only seven weeks old. The couple knew they must find a warm place for the cuties away from the mountain.
Pups looked like little tree snowballs. They were cold and shivering.
Corey and Kat could not help the dogs independently, so they called the Weber County Search and Rescue team. The couple fed the frozen dogs until the team arrived. The rescuers saved the puppies but couldn’t find a mommy dog.
Ultimately, the couple adopted one of the puppies and named him Polar. The local rescue organization took the other two babies. Unfortunately, after numerous tries to find the mother, the rescuers couldn’t find her.
