Olive, a Bully, was originally owned by a breeder who used her for financial gain. She eventually found herself on the streets, alone and terrified of people. Fortunately, she was found by Good Samaritans who brought her to the Fresno Bully Rescue, a no-kill animal shelter located in Sanger, California.
After receiving a clean bill of health, Olive relocated to her foster home. She certainly enjoyed her time with her foster family, but she did not remain with them for very long. So her new parents, Amanda and Brett, arrived quickly to take her home.
The dog soon felt like a member of the family and never once felt like an outsider. Even with Frank, the family’s first rescue dog, she got along with everyone and formed ties with each of them with ease.
Frank was not accustomed to being around other humans or dogs. He was too busy to socialize with anyone. When he met Olive, though, he had no objections about her presence. She was accepted by him as if he had known her for years.
Olive and Frank were the greatest of friends and had a wonderful time together. Hence, when he finally passed the rainbow bridge, she felt as if she had lost half her life. She was so depressed that she preferred hiding beneath the bed to playing.
Olive struggled immensely after Frank’s death. Luckily, she can now shift her emphasis to something else. She assists in raising her human sibling, and she defends him with her life. She also assists her mother with domestic chores, excluding sweeping and vacuuming the floor.
As soon as Amanda begins sweeping, Olive will take action. She initially demonstrates fear, and then she moves away. She then charges the broom and instantly attempts to consume it.
Olive is unlike any other canine. Amanda states that she is odd and does not know how to behave like a dog. But despite her eccentricities, her family will always love her.
