Turbo was born without his front two legs, but he doesn’t let that stop him from having fun. He had his wheels that he rode around on, running and playing like any other dog, but his start was challenging.
Turbo’s mom wanted to get him a cart to practice on when he was a puppy, but she found that most cart companies didn’t manufacture 6 to 8-month-old puppies. Turbo couldn’t wait that long; his mom made little DIY carts for him to practice on as a puppy, just seeing what would work for his body, but Turbo wasn’t totally sure about the whole situation.
Then, the magic of the internet came to his aid. Turbo’s story went viral and caught the attention of an aerospace engineer who used his skills to design and manufacture a harness design for the little chihuahua.
Birth Of The Speedster
Turbo still needed to be more sure about using his wheels and wasn’t motivated to run even with the new and improved cart. This all changed when his mom brought the other dog out to play with Turbo, and the little dog finally put his name to use.
Now, it is hard to tell that he needs to use wheels. He has the determination of any other dog, and now he has a doppelgänger living in the family. Ruby was born the same way as Turbo and joined the family one year after Turbo. They are inseparable; they know they always have each other.
Turbo’s story is one of overcoming obstacles in our lives, and he is truly an inspirational puppy. If you want to follow Turbo’s story more closely, you can follow his Instagram here.
