You can use a variety of strategies to train your dog. And for a woman named Anna Brisbin, she decided to use Harry Potter charms and spells to train her dog Remus. This way is probably the most unique one we’ve encountered so far.
Anna has been teaching tricks to her small dachshund, Remus. She has opted, however, to use spells from the famed Harry Potter film franchise in lieu of the typical dog training commands. Even the author and creator of the Harry Potter books, J. K. Rowling, would be astounded by this dog’s response to these spells.
Anna and Remus showed off the dog’s spell-following abilities in a video. Anna would wave her wand and utter a spell, which Remus would then obey. He is able to follow spells such as “Lumos,” the lighting spell, by turning on a lamp. When he hears “Accio Ball,” he would dash to deliver a ball to his owner.
Remus is so well-trained that he can respond to more spells such as “Engorio,” which would make the dog start eating, and “Aguamenti,” which would make the dog “go potty.” This training has become more successful than the standard spoken orders that most dogs typically disregard!
The duo also uses more additional spells that are really fun, such as Remus standing on his hind legs when he hears the spell “Wingardium Leviosa!”
Remus is so intelligent that he can even stay still when she casts the spell “Immobulus”, which makes a person stop moving when used in the Harry Potter books and movies. The Confundus charm causes Remus to act confused and run in circles. He surely is a dog that was born to be part of the wizarding world.
We hope to see more of your tricks, Remus! Please teach him more, Anna!
