The power of music can have such a wonderful effect on us. It has this mysterious way of connecting us with others, and that includes animals. And what better way to enjoy a soothing melody than have our pet dogs right by our side.
Having dogs near us creates a beautiful relationship that we can treasure forever in our hearts. One perfect example is the dog in this video who is lucky to have an owner who is a musician.
For one adorable furry pooch named Maple and her owner, they bond over nature as he plays the kalimba. If you’ve never heard of what a kalimba is, it is a small yet beautiful instrument from Africa that is made of wood with attached metal tines. You play the instrument by holding it with both hands and strumming the metal notes gently with your thumbs.
Fortunately, the owner has already uploaded various social media pages to share his melodic and calming tunes that he and Maple enjoy listening to every day.
For this video, Acoustic Trench, his YouTube account, shows him happily playing the kalimba while sitting in a garden surrounded by gorgeous autumnal flowers. He is playing lovely music to the tune of The Beatles’ “Here comes the sun.” Maple suddenly walks up near him and takes her front-row seat.
Maple sits quietly and rests her head on her paws for a moment as if she is appreciating all the nature around her as her owner plays more music. As the owner finishes playing, Maple stares at him and gives a look of appreciation. I’m quite sure she is grateful to have another musical therapy with him.
Every time the owner takes out his kalimba to make lovely music, his furry pooch always takes the nicest seat in the house to create more special memories with him.
