Dogs are fantastic creatures, and they bring joy to people. Hence, they deserve someone who can look after them and provide for their needs.
Sadly, some dogs are not fortunate to have fur parents. Some of them need to tend to themselves and do things independently to survive.
Thankfully, some people with good souls do their best to help stray and abandoned dogs. These dogs receive a new lease on life and a chance to live better and happier. One of these dogs is Spooky, and his story is inspiring and heartwarming.
Spooky is a dog from the Philippines who used to live in a cemetery. He was rescued by couples Charmaine and Ron Michael Tan, who work in a hospital near the area. According to Ron Michael, before they saved Spooky, he and his wife would bring food to the cemetery to feed the stray cats and dogs in the area. One day, they decided to adopt one, and they chose the animal with the worst condition.
Judging by the looks of the stray animals at that time, Spooky had the worst condition. And, true enough, the vet confirmed that he had several diseases such as parvovirus, ascites, gallbladder stones, and he also had severe mange, and ticks and fleas. The couple spent significantly on Spooky’s medical treatments, especially since the dog underwent two surgeries to remove the stones.
Fortunately, Spooky survived the ordeal, and he started to gain back his health and improve his looks. The name Spooky no longer fits him a year later, as he transformed into a handsome dog. He is now healthy and lives a happy life with his loving owners.
According to Ron Michael, since they don’t have children yet, Spooky is their bundle of joy, and they love him dearly. Watch Spooky’s adoption video below.
