Most dogs are so attached to their favorite toy or blanket that they cannot live without it. That particular item is a metal bowl for Theo the bulldog!
Since he was a puppy, Theo has had an uncanny attraction to metal bowls that he is able hold and carry around. He treats them as though they were toys and is very engrossed in all of them. As a result, his family simply tolerated Theo’s odd behavior.
When Theo was a puppy, his parents noticed his bowl addiction right away. Theo would stand in his water bowl with his two front paws inside. Whenever Theo finishes his meal, he takes the bowl and plays with it. The dog would also attempt to spill the water in order to play with it.
Because Theo’s family did not want him to continuously spill his water and food, they decided to get him his own bowls to play with. They quickly discovered that Theo preferred metal bowls over plastic bowls because metal bowls have a better edge for Theo to bite onto.
Theo became really thrilled when he was handed his bowls to play with. He carries them with him everywhere. He also has bowls all throughout the house and even outside! It is unusual to see him without a bowl.
Playing with these bowls over time causes them to become excessively dirty. As a result, the containers are frequently find their way into the dishwasher.
If Theo witnesses his bowls being placed in there, he will be heartbroken. He frequently waits near the dishwasher to ensure that his toys are in good condition. This is why his parents made a point of washing the bowls while Theo was not present to keep him from worrying too much.
Theo now has a plethora of bowls and these make him happy. He likes to always have one nearby, so his family is notorious for leaving bowls for him all over the house. If Theo can’t find a metal bowl, he’ll go directly to his water bowl and spill its contents before carrying it to his destination.
