Admit it—at least once in your life, there was a time you got in your car, turned on the radio for some music, and sang along to your favorite song without a care in the world.
We’re all a little bit guilty of this, but if you’re still too shy to admit that you’ve ever done this, then you might at least know somebody who has done this in their lifetime.
Let us introduce you to Annie, who loves singing along to the lyrics of her favorite tunes, too. She loves belting it out to Queen, but it’s not her golden voice that made this video go viral—it’s all thanks to her duet partner from the back seat.
Annie’s Shiloh Shepherd named Lola proves to be a musical genius when she is seen carrying a tune better than the rest of us in a viral video that has garnered more than seven million views since its upload.
The dog was asleep and lying down quietly on the back seat of her mommy’s car. Annie reaches out, turns on her radio, and Queen’s “We Are The Champions” plays in the background. The dog seems uncaring and oblivious at first, even when Annie starts singing.
Soon enough, Lola awakens from her slumber and starts howling along with the performance. She tilts her head back, with her snout pointed up in the sky, the gorgeous dog is heard loosening it up with a loud yowl while she sings together with Annie.
It is anyone’s best guess whether the dog is trying to belt out with her human companion or if it’s because of something else. However, it’s been said that dogs react to high pitches and wind instruments; but neither is present in “We Are The Champions,” so people can still speculate. Her reaction can be attributed to the theory that wolves tend to howl to show their pack’s unity—and maybe this holds true, too.
In this case, though, the most popular theory that netizens came up with is that Lola knows that Annie loves singing with her, so she will keep doing it because it’s a fantastic bonding experience between the two of them.
No matter what Lola’s intentions are, we’d take a dog willing to be our duet partner any day of the week!
