Bunny’s Buddies is a non-profit organization based in San Diego, California that rescues canines in China and Korea. The team rescues dogs from slaughterhouses, farms, and vehicles and transports them to the United States, where they will find permanent homes.
Amanda and Kyle run Bunny’s Buddies, which started its operations on April 1, 2018. The pair has been saving puppies and dogs from the aforementioned Asian countries. Waffles was one of them.
Waffles is a Golden Retriever that was rescued from a filthy meat truck on the side of the road. He was taken to a shelter in Shenzhen, China, where Amanda and Kyle rescued him before bringing him to a veterinarian.
Waffles was scared of other people. He would slump to the ground when his name is called.
The dog was ready to receive love. And when he finally met his new parents, he readily knew that he deserved to be loved. He also met as his new family which was large and also included rescue animals.
Amanda and Kyle have previously rescued and assisted 150 dogs, so they know exactly what Waffles has been through. Waffles is fortunate to be among them. Everyone is each other’s best buddy when they are living together in the group’s facility.
The once-terrified dog is now fit and healthy. Amanda even described him as a big, and crazy dog. He has never actually lived in a real home before, and he seems to enjoy it now.
Waffles didn’t have a happy childhood. He’s been through a lot and has a bleak past. He did, however, demonstrate his tenacity. He’s also smiling a lot more now.
Caring for rescue dogs can be an emotional roller coaster ride but Amanda and Kyle believe that all of it is worth it in the end.
Waffles is still joyful and forgiving despite what he has gone through. It only goes to show that dogs are far emotionally superior to humans.
