There are thousands of homeless dogs who do not have any food. For this reason, a man named Rocky Kanaka has arranged a feast for homeless dogs each Thanksgiving.
Rocky is a pet chef with an extensive understanding of pet nutrition. He collaborated with the team of the non-profit rescue group Reverse Rescue to make everything feasible, and he named the celebration Barksgiving.
Cornbread, pot pies, and pumpkin pies made up the Thanksgiving feast. These are standard items that Rocky offers and ships to various regions. The menu also includes fresh mashed potatoes and gravy.
Diverse types of stray canines will be given these foods. One of them is a bulldog named Big Mama. For nine years, she served as a breeding female. After Big Mama was given her meal and she devoured it, she was given a new nickname.
Aside from Big Mama, Tonka is a French bulldog that originated from the same shelter as Big Mama and received the Thanksgiving feast. In addition, there is a Great Dane named Goliath. He is underweight and needed as much food as possible. However, as an elderly dog, he has a rather modest appetite and Rocky believes that the Thanksgiving lunch was a great help to him.
Also, there were pit bulls who received the food. Roman is one of them. He is deaf, but he is learning sign language. Aside from that, Rich and Freddy are pit bulls who also received the meal.
In addition, there are even more dogs being fed. Some of them will eat on the streets because the table that Rocky had prepared for all dogs could not accommodate everyone.
After cooking fresh mashed potatoes and dog gravy, it was time to begin the feast. The dogs devoured all of the food placed before them. Unsurprisingly, the table was a mess, but it’s clear that the dogs enjoyed every moment.
Following the lunch, Big Mama was given a new name. She is now known as Fiona.
Rocky believes that someone may be interested in adopting the dogs from Reverse Rescue when people learn more about them.
