What most people definitely don’t know is that the Pit Bull breeds are actually sweet dogs. Pit Bulls are like children that crave attention from their humans. All these dogs want is to love and be loved.
A Pit Bull named Pork Roll was bought from a breeder in Virginia. However, after about two years, the people who bought Pork Roll decided to surrender him because they thought that he was too expensive. Pork Roll was an obese dog and his family thought that he has several health issues.
Pork Roll ended up at a Pit Bull-specific agency called South Of The Bully. Pork Roll was massively overweight that the staff and volunteers at the rescue thought that he was a pot-bellied pig. Pork Roll needed to be fostered first and lose weight before he can be adopted.
Eventually, Pork Roll lost enough weight and became healthy enough to get adopted. That’s when he came to a couple who wanted to adopt a third dog. When the couple got a photo of Pork Roll, they thought that he was perfect and would easily fit in with the entire family, including the other dogs.
Pork Roll was a little shy when he first got welcomed into his new home and he was also cautious around men. However, after a couple of months, Pork Roll started to realize that he’s now part of a loving family. Pork Roll became inseparable from his new dad and would always cry whenever his dad would leave his side even for a short time.
Pork Roll got along with his new siblings named Dime and Athena, who are also rescue dogs. When Athena passed away, Pork Roll and Dime were at a loss but they have gotten closer. Pork Roll brings so much joy to his new family and his humans can’t believe how lucky they are to adopt a dog like him.
