During religious services, priests strive to maintain a peaceful attitude in order to experience and encourage spirituality and enlightenment. They want to successfully achieve a spiritual connection so that everyone can focus on growing their faith.
However, we are all certainly aware that there are many distractions in this time and age. Vehicles honking, cell phones ringing, and even the natural sounds from the environment can be deafening at times. There are already plenty of things that can distract us, so we don’t need anything additional that could contribute to that. There are also certain times when things unexpectedly happen which can come as a welcome distraction.
An energetic dog found its way into a church in Brazil, and let’s just say he missed the memo that he could not disturb the peaceful environment. He came and whirled about as playfully as he could, oblivious to the Sunday service taking place.
However, everyone who witnessed the furry rascal’s antics was left with a smile on their face. Aside from that, the priest’s response to the dog was surprising.
A priest named Jose Geraldo Sobreira was delivering a sermon at the Senhora das Dores church when a dog approached him. The dog simply sat at Jose’s feet and began to play.
It’s not often that a random dog approaches you during service so it was a genuinely memorable day.
At that moment, the priest was holding the microphone and speaking to the congregation. Instead of shooing the dog away, he joined the dog in play. It seems like the priest was having more fun than the dog. It was such a heartwarming sight to experience.
No one knows the origin of the fuzzy dog.
Regardless of where the dog came from, one thing is certain: everyone had a smile that lasted the entire day.
