The Corgi may be the Queen of England’s favorite breed, but these adorable little-legged creatures are loving and loyal whether you’re from royalty or not.
Wilbur recently met his baby sister Claire. They live in San Francisco with their parents, Chris and Miriam Lowe. They got Wilbur when he was only ten weeks old. He’s really friendly and is a snuggle monster with his fur-parents.
When the couple found out they were having a baby, they knew that their dog would be okay with having her around, but they still had some apprehensions. They weren’t sure how Wilbur would handle the idea of having to share their attention.
Claire was finally brought by the stork around late November. Chris happily announces that Wilbur and their baby girl are hitting it off great. They took the necessary precautions, of course—they kept a tight grip on his collar when they first introduced them. But it seems that all Wilbur wanted to do was sniff her and showed a particular interest in baby Claire’s soft blanket.
In a photo-sharing site, Chris has uploaded a bunch of snaps of Claire and Wilbur in the most heart-wrenching scenarios yet. It seems like Wilbur has taken on his role as a full-fledged protector to his little human sibling. He follows her everywhere and always keeps a close eye on her.
The proud dad claims that the two are best friends. Whenever the baby cries, Wilbur gives them a concerned look. Although they may have formed a special bond, the Lowes don’t leave him alone with her just in case. But they couldn’t be any happier with how things have turned out between their two precious youngsters.
Wilbur has declared his devotion to little Claire. We believe these two are going to be tied at the hip until the end of time!
