Taking care of dogs is a demanding responsibility, especially if you have many. However, some people are able to pull it off because they genuinely care for these animals. But caring for a large number of dogs also entails being accountable for all of them and ensuring that they coexist peacefully.
This is what this story is about. And this is about Max, a pit bull that lives with six Dachshunds.
Max believes that he is a dachshund, and he plays with them daily. They would run around and even pursue each other. Max may have realized that he was a pit bull for the first time when he stared closely in the mirror and noticed that he appeared different from the other canines in their home.
Theresa is the owner of Max, and she originally met him at a shelter. He was quite enthusiastic and was able to pique Theresa’s husband’s curiosity. When they decided that they wanted him, they also recognized they would have to provide for his medical care.
Max was underweight, therefore he was brought to the emergency pet hospital to receive the necessary care. The veterinarians were not optimistic that the dog would survive. He regained his appetite after being evaluated by the family veterinarian.
After one month, Max began to gain weight and soon reached the average weight for a pitbull.
Max was never properly introduced to his new siblings, thus it was his new siblings that established first contact and a relationship with him.
The dachshunds considerably contributed to Max’s upbringing. When he was ill, they slept next to him. The household’s dachshunds routinely showered him with affection.
Max enjoys the same activities as the other canines. They observe squirrels and hide under blankets together. His favorite among the dachshunds is Cinnamon. She was the first dog with whom he frequently played with.
The dog also loved playing football and socializing, so Theresa would bring him to every convention and rescue event she could find. He is now a pit bull who lives a contented existence.
